I'm just updating this to get the previous news article off my page, since I've resolved the site issues and got a new webhost and everything.
In case you didn't notice (how could you not?!), MARDEK 2 is out now. So huzzah for that.

MARDEK 3 may be a while however, since I'm currently working on a different game AND I'll be spending a lot of time with my wonderful girlfriend and moving country over the next couple of months.
Just so you know.

Apparently www.fighunter.com - my site - is down at the moment for STUPID REASONS THAT I AM UNAWARE OF which are also out of my control.

I just tried to visit the site yesterday, and was told that it was SUSPENDED for no good reason. I tried to log into my account with my webhost, but COULDN'T; apparently I've 'violated their Terms and Conditions', though it listed several things that I could have done to cause this, and I'm certain that my site violates none of those things at all!

The thing said I should have been sent an email about this, telling me what I'd actually unwittingly DONE, and perhaps how I could fix it. I've received no such email.
I contacted the host yesterday, but have yet to receive a response.
SO IRRITATING!

I want to switch webhosts, but I CAN'T until I can get all my files and database entries from my CURRENT webhost (which I can't do now because I CAN'T LOG INTO MY ACCOUNT).

I'll get things fixed as soon as possible, but for now, I'm so very annoyed!

People are understandably always asking me when (or IF, apparently) I'll release MARDEK 2... which is annoying, since I have the answer on my site. Sort of. Though I suppose most people don't look at that.

When WILL MARDEK 2 be released, though? I DON'T KNOW!

I suppose you'd expect me to have an exact deadline date, but I don't. I make these games in my free time, and have other concerns that get in the way of their production...
I'm making progress though, but it's... slow. MARDEK 1 was coded in ActionScript 2, but since its release, I got Flash CS3, which has AS3... So I'm basically recoding MARDEK now in that new and rather different language, remaking the entire engine. It's... taking a while.
When that's done though, there's not much else left to do. I've made most of the plot and areas and so on. Not all, but most.
And the chapter's much longer than the first, definitely! There are more characters, more dungeons, more, uh... other things!
I will say though that there is a LOT more dialogue! I hope you like plot and the reading thereof! o_O
(MARDEK *is* primarily a story with combat and exploration as a side-feature after all; not the other way around.)

ANYWAY, I'd estimat the game to released "within the next two months", if other things don't get in the way too much. It could be any time in those two months, but, uh... most likely not in the next two or three weeks.

Now stop asking me when it'll be out. It's really annoying.
